Make Henderson Hall 24/7 Card-Swipe Access
We've all been there. Left a project in Henderson for safe keeping due to either time or weather constrictions and came back later only to find out that you're locked out until the next morning: too late! Many of us do not have the space or resources to work on our projects at our apartments or dorm rooms, not even considering the inconvenience to carry large projects home in windy or rainy weather or on the crowded busses.
Our Hokie Passports already have access to Henderson Hall, but the computer system is scheduled to lock us out--even with passport--at very early hours. VT Police will not give you access to the building without permission from the Department Head. All we're asking is to reschedule the computer system for 24/7 card access.

We the undersigned are students of Virginia Tech. We came here to further our education and skills in our desired fields, in this case the arts. We hope to have the opportunity to further our development of these skills by having 24/7 card access to Henderson Hall. Currently, there is a swipe card system in place that locks students out at a relatively early hour, keeping students from their projects which are locked inside. Many students do not have the space or resources to work on their projects at their apartments or in their dorm rooms, thus Henderson Hall is their only workspace. We are only asking to change the computer system to upgrade the students who currently have access to Henderson Hall to 24/7 access.
