Today, more than 40% of U.S. waterways, including lakes, rivers, springs, ponds, and streams, are unsafe for swimming and water activities. Trash and pollution in bodies of water all around the United States has become a serious issue because it poisons the water, therefore, harming the aquatic plants and animals found there. Pollution also contaminates our drinking water and can cause oxygen depletion in the water. Sign our petition to create a bill that requires all boat ramps around the United States to have a recycling bin and trash can present. This will reduce the amount of pollution, keeping our waterways safe and beautiful.
