Enact a Bottle Bill Legislation in Washington State!

Over 11 states have enacted bottle bills or similarity including Oregon and California to the South. These states, which have a high amount of low-income areas, are seeing more cleaner highways, and more aware citizens since the laws came into effect.

If Seattleites whom are known to be aware of their environment take notice, it's time we got all Washingtonians and all Americans to take part in recycling. Not only will people be more aware and feel the urge to recycle other items, our state will have:

- Less highway/roadway litter
- Incentives for homeless to pick up bottles laying around
- More awareness in children and low-income areas
- Less broken glass at beaches, parks, and streets where it may be stepped/driven on
- Stoppage of Washingtonians redeeming bottles in Oregon for income, charging the Oregon government
- More emploment at recycling centers
- More employment at facilities that manufacture machines to create collection machines.
- Less consumption of soda, water, beer, and wine.
- More income for the state through unredeemed bottles.

WE can help another state join those that already have Bottle Bills. Soon enough, our whole nation will be inclined to join the other states.
Dear Govenor Christine Gregoire,

Nearly half of all trash that is sent to landfills in our nation, compose of recyclable containers from beverages. Areas that have curbside programs, increase the stastics only a slight margin. But if there's a financial incentive, the statistics increase dramatically.

The Pacific Northwest is worldly known to be a pristine locale known for it's astounding beauty. That is why we, the citizens of Washington, as well as others nationally, urge you to enact a Bottle Bill Legislation or equivalent in our state, to preserve the essence of environmentalism. The 11 other states that have already enacted these measures have seen drastically improved recycling rates and cleaner highways.

Our residents are known to be conservatives and passionate environmentalists. And if we can implement these measures, the positive outcomes will be endless:

- We'll have less highway/roadway litter
- Incentives for the homeless to pick up bottles/cans laying around
- Have more awareness in children, low-income areas, and in immigrants
- Have less broken glass at beaches, parks, and streets where it may be stepped/driven on
- Stoppage of Washingtonians redeeming bottles in Oregon for income, charging the Oregonian government
- More emploment at recycling centers in our state
- More employment at facilities that manufacture machines to create collection machines nationwide.
- Less consumption of soda, water, beer, and wine.
- More income for the state through unredeemed bottles.

Our residents would like to take combating climate change to another knotch. Please show our state, and the nation, that the environment remains an important virtue in all Washingtonians. We hope your consideration into this idea will be swift and open.
