We are requesting that all 8 members of the G8 summit reduce their CO2 emissions by 45% at the end of 2025. we are aiming that every 5 years emissions are reduced by at least 5% (from 2009 yearly average levels) so as to make this the most easy transition for the economy. breakdown:
2010 - 5% total reduction
2015 - 10% total reduction
2020 - 20% total reduction
2025 - 45% total reduction
if the global temperature changes by just 2 degrees then we will lose the rainforests, if we experience 3 degrees, or possibly even less then that, global warming may become unstoppable.
we, the undersigned request that the members assembled at the G8 summit. reduce thier CO2 emissions by at least five percent (from 2009 yearly average levels) each year, culminating in a total reduction of 45% by the end of 2025.
If we do not act now, by 2 degrees change we will have no rainforests, possibly before 3 we won't be able to stop it, please make a difference and thank you for taking the time to read this.
