CBC news September 2, 2009 radio and online broadcasts have revealed information regarding Lutsel Ke Dene First Nation Chief and Council and UR Energy,
Therefore, WE, the Members of Lutsel Ke Dene First Nation (LKDFN), direct the Chief and Council of the LKDFN to immediately implement the following:
1. Quit all contact, communication, engagement, agreements, etc. Whatsoever between LKDFN and any and all uranium exploration companies, representatives and associates including but not limited to UR ENERGY and CAMECO, by issuing a formal announcement that the LKDFN is beholden to its Membership and our right to PROTECT THE THELON WATERSHED and has grievously overstepped its authority in this matter,
2. Refund all entry fees paid by LKDFN Members for participation in the domestic fish-out (fishing derby) held during the Dene National Assembly in Lutsel Ke on July 8, 2009, as the LKDFN Membership were not aware of the UR Energy contribution and do not support it,
3. Amend the agenda for the scheduled September 9, 2009 Public Meeting to a Special Assembly featuring a full and completely transparent report from LKDFN Chief and Council with evidence on everything regarding uranium exploration in the Thelon River Watershed since October 23, 2007 and ensure that this meeting is neither postponed or cancelled,
4. All future attempts, if any, by the uranium industry to contact LKDFN are fully documented and reported to LKDFN Membership via all available communications tools immediately,
5. ENFORCE, UPHOLD and RESPECT the document entitled Applications for Mineral Exploration in the Thelon Basin (attached) and any and all other related LKDFN resolutions until such time as the LKDFN Membership endeavour to and initiate otherwise as a majority.
