Save the Gwinnett County Community Library System

The Gwinnett County Library Board has voted to meet budget cuts for next year with a proposal that includes taking all the library books out of three branches: Lilburn, Dacula, and Snellville. Access to print is vital to the families that live in the area around these branches. Many of these families have limited or no transportation, and will not be able to patronize other branches.  Lack of access to print resources will directly impact the literacy rate, and a lower literacy rate will have a significant and negative impact on this county.
We the undersigned request that the Gwinnett County Library Board take action to insure that books remain in all branches of the Gwinnett County Library and that all branches remain accessible to all citizens of Gwinnett County.  If budget cuts are needed, we ask you to reduce the number of hours each branch is open, but keep the books in all the branches.  Thank you for taking time to read this letter.
