The U.S. needs to show courage and ratify the Kyoto Protocol!

The USA, under the leadership of President Bush, drew worldwide criticism for refusing to adopt the Kyoto Protocol, the greatest international agreement for the reduction of some greenhouse gases. This document has been ratified by nearly every other country in the world. This is despite the fact that the USA is by a massive margin the world's biggest polluter and very disproportionately so.

Let's ask President Obama and his current administration to reverse this situation and, in a step of leadership and courage, go against corporate interests and do what's right for the planet and for the future of our civilization.  The worldwide reduction of carbon emissions is just ONE STEP to address the problem of global warming, but a crucial one!

To President Obama and Administration: We the undersigned ask that you please reconsider United States' previous decision of not ratifying the Kyoto Protocol.  We consider this action to have sent many wrong signals throughout the world. In a bold step of leadership, we ask that the US correct this mistake of the past and join all other countries in their commitment to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases in an effort to reduce and stall the harming effects of global warming on our planet.  You believe in Change, and so do we.  For the Health our Our Planet,
