Demand the Resignation of Julian Chambliss of Rollins College

  • af: Matthew Joe Mallory
  • mottagare: Craig M. McAllaster, EdD, Acting President of Rollins College

On Memorial Day, Julian Chambliss, who currently serves as the chair of the Department of History and coordinator of the Africa & African-American Studies program at Rollins College, intends to desecrate a historical flag in direct violation of not only his position as a chair of the Department of History, but also in violation of Florida Statutes Chapter 256.05 through 256.10.

He intends to burn a historical flag of the Confederate States of America at the Greenwood Urban Wetlands and other locations in the region on Memorial Day. Rather than honouring the veterans who have given their lives in defence of his Country, and of his State, Mr. Chambliss chooses to dishonour their memory and desecrate all they stood for.

As Mr. Julian Chambliss has shown contempt for not only his position and the history of his own State, but contempt for the laws of his State, we the people demand the resignation of Mr. Julian Chambliss.
