SAVE MCALLISTER COMMUNITY PARK

The South Puget Sound Disc Golf Association (SPSDGA) has submitted a PROPOSAL to the City of Lacey, WA for approval to develop an "18 HOLE, GOLD LEVEL, CHAMPIONSHIP QUALITY DISC COURSE" at McAllister Community Park, in the unincorporated Thurston County area of Lacey,WA. The interconnecting 2 miles of nature trails, used daily by surrounding neighborhoods and further away will be taken over by this proposed disc golf course. An 18 hole disc golf course is NOT COMPATIBLE FOR THIS MULTI-USE COMMUNITY PARK. 70-80 mph flying hard plastic discs are known to cause severe injuries to those in close proximity. Damage to trees, prairie and wetlands will occur. Wildlife habitats will be forever disrupted. Increased traffic and noise. Use of illicit drugs, alcohol, dumping of trash and human waste within the park may occur. Crime in surrounding neighborhoods may increase. Help us to SAVE MCALLISTER COMMUNITY PARK from this destructive Disc Golf Course development AND FUTURE "temporary" TOURNAMENTS at McAllister Community Park. YOUR SUPPOR COUNTS! Thank you.
