Trump's Pick for Toxic Cleanup Supervisor Linked to Toxic Spills

Donald Trump's disdain for environmental regulations is on display once again now that he's nominated Peter Wright, an attorney for Dow Chemical, to be the government's man in charge of cleaning up Superfund sites (a.k.a. areas with toxic spills.)

Dow Chemical is responsible for over 100 of these ongoing sites. Surely, there are better choices to protect our environment than the very man who has spent his career defending the chemical companies from having to take accountability for these disasters.

That's why we're asking Montana Senator Steve Daines to oppose Wright's nomination. Daines has expressed concerned for Superfund sites in the past, and we'd like to see him rally at least one more of his conservative colleague's support.

With just two GOP votes not going Wright's way, Trump will be forced to nominate a more moderate person - hopefully someone without strong chemical company ties.
