Make Social Studies its Own Subject

The problem I am trying to solve is to make Social Studies a whole subject instead of a minor one combined with ELA. This benefits us all because it can inspire us, teach us, and much more. According to a survey I have conducted, 65% students surveyed would like Social Studies as a whole subject. 65% of students surveyed like Social Studies. Also, according to ask.com, it states, "Social studies is important because it teaches students fundamental concepts of culture, economics and politics skills to groom them into educated, productive citizens. Social studies centers around understanding how the world works on a social level". This shows that Social Studies is an important subject to learn daily. This is why you should sign this petition to make Social Studies a whole subject again.
