Demand Recycling For Renters in Detroit!

Recycling is one of the easiest ways that people can reduce their negative impact on the environment. But why should curbside recycling opportunities be limited to people who live in houses?

Detroit's apartment dwellers are also aching to recycle. But their opportunities for recycling are painfully limited. Eco-conscious renters are frustrated because they know that recycling reduces air and water pollution while also taking a burden off of already overfull landfills.

Please join me in asking ask Detroit's city council to draft a law that requires apartment buildings with more than twenty residents to offer curbside recycling.

Dear Detroit City Council Members:

Homeowners and house renters benefit from curbside recycling programs. These programs make it relatively easy to do the right thing by planet Earth. But why should apartment dwellers be cut out of the picture? Many of your renting residents wish to recycle, but their opportunities to do so are severely limited by a lack of curbside programs for apartment buildings. Please draft a law that requires apartment buildings with more than twenty residents to offer curbside recycling.
