Tell Dubai to Stop Exhibiting Exotic Animals in Their Mall!

Dubai is home to the largest mall in the world, but to them this isn't a great enough distinction. To further draw attention, the mall is exhibiting large wild animals in concrete enclosures that prevent them from fulfilling their natural interests and behaving as they would in the wild.

The newest attraction is is a giant Pacific octopus -- the largest species of octopus on the planet -- that stretches to an impressive 14 feet. Another animal held captive in the mall is a 1,600 pound crocodile, one of the largest reptiles on the planet.

Unfortunately, the largest mall in the world still isn't large enough to hold some of the world's largest animals. No enclosure is. In the wild, crocodiles spend hours swimming and regulate their buoyancy and body temperature. This is impossible in a concrete imprisonment. The mall's decision to house wild animals may also support the exotic animal trade, which is largely unregulated and causes much animal suffering. Please sign the petition to urge the Dubai mall to stop exhibiting exotic animals!

We, the undersigned, are concerned with the Dubai mall's decision to exhibit wild animals.

We understand the the mall currently houses a giant Pacific octopus, a 1,600 pound crocodile, and other animals, each in a concrete enclosure. Unfortunately, we believe that the largest mall in the world still isn't large enough to hold some of the world's largest animals. No enclosure is. In the wild, crocodiles spend hours swimming and regulate their buoyancy and body temperature. This is impossible in a concrete imprisonment. We respectfully urge you to end the use of animals in your mall. Thank you for taking the time to read and consider our petition.
