Wendy's Need To STOP using plastic cups!

Starting in 2016, Wendy's switched a majority of their paper cups to PLASTIC cups. Wendy's had approximately 6000 restaurants in 2016. Plastic is made from petroleum, a non-renewable resource that creates significant air and water pollution during its extraction, shipment, and disposal. These plastic cups are only used once, but will last in a landfill for over 500 years.

A solution to this would be to REDUCE the use of plastic and replace it with paper packaging. Another option would be to recycle these cups, but per Wendy's website recycling is one of their biggest challenges. Therefore, Wendy's first priority should be to REDUCE plastic usage.
