Stanley verdict: One Year Later

One year ago on Feb. 9th, 2018, a Saskatchewan jury delivered a verdict that found Gerald Stanley not guilty of the murder of Colten Boushie, a Cree man from Red Pheasant First Nation in Saskatchewan. We write this statement in support of the Boushie and Baptiste families, and we ask professors everywhere to continue to research, teach, write and speak on the structural racism that sits at the heart of the verdicts.
