Help Students End Their Stress

Many students are getting overwhelmed with school work and extracurricular activities. This is why almost 40% of high school parents in a report conducted by the National Public Radio said their child is experiencing stress from school. Our plan is to bring in puppies/kitties for students every Wednesday to help relieve stress! It would be student run for one hour during lunch and the students who run it could receive community service. The payment for the transportation by the Humane Society could be fundraised by the students involved in the organization. We could also ask for donations from local companies. Also, permission slips would have to be signed confirming that students cannot sue the school for anything that goes wrong with the animals (scratches/allergic reaction/etc.). Canine Therapy is a simple but effective way to help many students struggling with stress.
