Students Are Abandoning Animals After "Experiments"

There is a horrible trend going on in New York City. Kids are being forced to do "hatchling" projects in school science classes. But when the "experiment" is over, they are just abandoning the chicks in the parks where they may or may not survive! Luckily, their is a bill that could prevent these projects from happening in the first place.

Will you sign the petition to tell New York State to please pass this legislation to stop this animal abuse?

Basically, kids are being made to watch chicken and duckling eggs hatch to learn about that process. But nobody has thought further than this because as cute as they are when they are little, they grow up and then the classrooms don't know what to do. So they just release hudnreds of chicks and ducks into the parks. But these are domesticated animals who don't know how to survive in the wild. Not to mention the city of New York is not the wild.

It's supposed to be a science project, but it's actually just a lesson in how to not care for living beings. This is the exact message we don't want to be sending to children.

Please sign on to support the legislation that would end this horrible school project.
