District 833 Parents in support of Valley Crossing Community School

School District 833 has been being involved in some long term strategic planning for the school district. One of the proposals that is being brought up to the school board is that all District 833 students be removed from Valley Crossing next school year (2015-2016) and be transferred to their "home" school. This is being proposed because of overcrowding at Liberty Ridge School. Therefore, all the 230 current 833 students who attend Valley Crossing would be replaced by students from Stonemill Farms and Dancing Waters neighborhood. Not only does this compromise the well being of our own children and their education, but it destroys the integrity and purpose behind Valley Crossing Community School. We as parents choose to send our children there for their unique learning environment and instruction. This proposal would eliminate Valley Crossing as a "choice" school.
