Extension of Child Support in the State of Texas

The support for further education is important for the furture of Texas.  But unlike many states, Texas is one of the few states were single parents are the sole party responsible to support their children thru college.  The non-custodial parent's responsibility ends when the child graduates from high school or turn eighteen.  This law is affecting many children that can't support their college education.  It is extremly hard for a single parent to pay for living expenses and college.  I strongly beleive that the number of college drop outs and education level in Texas would change if Texas would extend the child support till the child finishes colleges.  Texas needs to start getting on board on idea of supporting a child as long as the child is single and a full-time student.  Its is essential for the new generations and our country.  As divorces increase, the number of college drop outs also increase.  We need this law changed immediately.   Just because the child is 18 doesn;t the responsibility of both parents.
