Stop Plastic Pollution: Refuse Single-Use Plastic Water Bottles

Everything that was once made of plastic still exists somewhere on this planet today. Today, the amount of plastic that in the ocean is equivalent to 1,300 Blue Whales, and on average a full grown Blue Whale weighs about 300,000 pounds. Just in the United States, 30 Billion water bottles are purchased every year, and even though plastic water bottles are recyclable, 845 of them are thrown away into a regular trash can per second. Many of those plastic bottles that do not get recycled end up in our bodies of water and end up harming marine life. More than 100,000 Marine animals die each year because of plastic ingestion or entanglement. I want to educate people on the dangers of plastic pollution and how they can make a simple change and have a positive impact on our planet.
