Let's put a stop to the proposed I75 rest area in Punta Gorda!

We, the undersigned, hereby request that you consider an alternate location based on the negative impact the Punta Gorda location will have on Tuscany Isles residents quality of life as well as property values.

The proximity of the site will surely add to the existing noise of I75 with the acceleration on deceleration of diesel trucks along with the obnoxious fumes. It is our understanding that a study was conducted, however; we are asking with the increased volume of traffic and current noise levels on I75 alone that you conduct a current study. Additionally, there is the potential of light pollution from overhead lighting as well as the lights from the vehicles entering and exiting the location that will create an adverse effect on our community.

Lastly and possibly the biggest impact would be the potential "predators" ,that history has proven, rest areas seem to attract. With the line of sight to Tuscany Isles, a lighted, residential community within a 1000 plus or minus feet why would anyone even consider your proposed area?
