In early 2012, multinational oil companies are planning to wipe out 10 million acres of Ecuador's rainforest. This area is home to six indigenous tribes and fosters thousands of flora and fauna.
We can not sit back and watch while yet another enormous part of our precious rainforests is plundered! We have seen far too many incidents of the irreversible devastation to our ecological system that this produces.
The devastation to the immediate area is enough cause for concern but the continued ravaging of the rainforest has now reached epic proportion. It is now is no longer a local problem but has become a global disaster!
Please stand in support in saving the rainforest and saving the planet!
We the undersigned are asking for your support to stop the plundering of the multinational oil companies that are planning to wipe out 10 million acres of rainforest in Ecuador in early 2012.
Drilling for oil miles below the sea bed and stripping the planet of our precious rainforest is not an acceptable means of producing energy. In the same way that society realized using coal was no longer a viable and efficient means of energy, we must also realize that the use of oil creates more devastation than good. This devastation is no longer a localized problem but has reached epic proportions and is now a global disaster and is threatening the existence and sustainability of humanity.
Please support our efforts to stop the devastation of 10 million acres of Ecuador's rainforest.
