The state of our children's mental health is in crisis

As a Mum of four teenagers I am horrified by the number of attempted and actual suicides that my kids have been exposed to in their young lives over the past few years.

My 16-year-old son has written to the Education Secretary saying the education system puts grades and league tables before children's well-being and he wants it to stop now! He says he feels schools are run like factories and they are treated just as numbers, not as individual people with hopes and dreams. He says social media and the pressures of school are destroying his peers' childhood and happiness. My son has not had a reply yet.

Something has to change now. Give our kids their childhood back. Their Happiness and wellbeing must be the government's number one priority.
