PLEASE HELP MAKE NORWOOD ROAD A SAFER ENVIROMENT FOR OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR CHILDREN. WE URGENTLY NEED TRAFFIC CALMIMG MEASURES TO SLOW SPEEDING CARS AND PREVENT FURTHER ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Dear Lambeth Council We, the residents, local pupils, Schools and Nurseries, Brockwell Park and Norwood Road community, do not feel safe walking along and crossing our road. More importantly we fear for the safety of the many hundreds of children for whom Norwood Road is their main route to School and to Brockwell Park. Changes must take place before there are any more accidents or fatalities. Norwood Road needs more clearly positioned speed limit signs and speed limit road markings, children crossing signs, safer pelican crossings, a further speed bump between Trinity Rise and St.Faiths Road and a speed camera. Further, with the planned development of the Tulse Hill gyratory, please consider the planting of trees along Norwood Road. As a traffic calming measure this has worked across the country; it not helps protect pedestrians but counteracts the high levels of pollution produced by the thousands of vehicles who use our road every day
