Demand that Florida Ban Reef-Killing Sunscreen Now!

19% of the world's coral reefs are dead. 

It's not just because of climate change and ocean acidification — it could also be because of your sunscreen. Studies have shown that certain chemicals — oxybenzone and octinoxate — commonly used in sunscreens are destroying coral reefs across the globe.

Florida is home to the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States and the third largest reef in the world, but the state has yet to act to protect this precious ecosystem.
