Protect our Indianapolis Waterways

We the undersigned care about our waterways and the City of Indianapolis. We do not support the City's request for a variance to reduce the Stream Protection Corridor from 60 feet to 20 feet (on both sides) through the new Community Justice Campus (CJC) property at 2950 Prospect. We believe the corridor is needed to provide erosion control, improve water quality, offer flood water storage, provide wildlife habitat, improve aesthetic value. This would set a dangerous precedent that could affect other Indianapolis waterways.

We believe the City should follow City of Indianapolis Code of Ordinance, Sec. 744-205. -Stream Protection Corridor by maintaining the 60-foot buffer along both sides of Pleasant Run.
