Tell Canadian Government Not to Let CNRL Cause Another Oil Spill

Canadian Natural Resources has had more than a million litres of bitumen spill from its sites. The company has petitioned the government to start high-pressure steam operations only 500 metres from the last spill site, which could trigger another spill or cause the active spill to expand.

Canadian Natural Resources would be using high-pressure steam operations, which is the same procedure used during the previous spill.  Though the company says a spill will not occur again, this is difficult to trust as this same company was already inaccurate in reporting the amount of bitumen spilled. Until the company is able to back up its claim by research, it should not be permitted to begin operations again.

Tell the Government to reject CNRL's petition to prevent another oil spill.
