The students of the Southeastern Legal and Protective Services program want their resource officer back. The Chief of Easton Police Department is taking all the school resource officers away. This was his first year here and we got to share that with him. We were both freshmen in a way and he made it special for us because he was a freshman too and we didn’t have to face it alone. Officer Aker challenged us to be our best and took us under his wing for freshman year. We need you to help us get him back so that we can graduate with him by our side and move on to the next part of our lives.
Some of these kids didn't feel safe but Officer Aker made them comfortable. He became part of our family here at SE. Because of him, we grew into better people as the year went on. Outside of Legal and Protective services, Officer Aker formed relationships with the staff and students, but he won't get to see them again when summer's over. He was very involved with the students and protected them like family. He has a family at home, and he comes to us to give us someone to rely on. Please bring our school resource officer back.
