Celebrate the successful completion of the Green River Diversion

The new Green River Dam is a rare win-win-win: better for boaters, fish and wildlife, and water users. Thanks to the project’s collaborative design, the last major in-stream barrier to fish and paddlers between Flaming Gorge and the Green River’s confluence with the Colorado River is now safe for boat and fish passage, while honoring the historical and agricultural significance of the diversion.

Help us say thank you to the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Utah. Thanks to their efforts to include multiple stakeholders, the diversion will now help boost local recreational and agricultural economies, improve public safety, and support the five federally listed and endangered fish species that call the Green River home.

The diversion stands to benefit all river and water stakeholders for decades to come. It’s an important win for recreation, conservation and collaboration, and American Whitewater is proud to have supported the process. Join us in thanking the Utah NRCS on a job well done!
