West Lafayette City/County Residents who OBJECT to the RE-ZONE of WLGCC Z-3005

Owner of the WLGCC resides in Arizona and purchased the golf course with original intent to eventually sell it off as land for maximum profit.  The land is currently an community eyesore and has been left that way on purpose.   WLGCC owner has chosen to price the land so that it could not be sold to remain a successful golf course. As a golf course, the community had a wonderful recreational space as well as a needed facility with a bar and restaurant that could host events. There is a big concern for residents near the WLGCC that it is the intent of the developer to "fill" in a floodplain on this property to also be used for residential building if they are able to get this land re-zoned. The proposed "high density" housing would cause major traffic congestion and lower the current values of homes in the area.
