Our beloved Glen Lake is facing a major threat. An Autobody shop is being proposed adjacent to land conservation areas that feed into our lake-risking toxic pollution from chemicals, oils, and heavy metals (along with noice and light pollution along this Adirondack corridor). As someone who grew up on this beautiful lake and still enjoys its beauty: myself, the residents around the lake, all the Queensbury residents and neighboring areas who enjoy daily use of the lake and the Glen Lake Protective Association are very concerned about:
*Water quality
*Wildlife habitat destruction
*Recreational activity disruption (fishing, swimming, and boating)
*Potential drinking water contamination
*Negatives impact on local property values and economy.
We urge the Queensbury Planning Board to listen to the concerns that their Queensbury residents have and to not approve this development.
We encourage the Queensbury Town board to;
*Explore safer alternative locations for this development
*Enforce strict regulations to prevent pollution and protect our environment.
