Mental Health taught in schools

As someone who has suffered from these in the past and is still fighting them on a daily basis, I feel that schools really need to educate people more about mental health. They are so hooked up on the idea of "making the school community a safer place" yet statistics show that mental health is worsening. I don't see why they can't educate children from a young age about these issues and make them realise it isn't "cool" and isn't a "trend". These issues are just as important as teaching them to use contraception and I feel that by doing this they can help save young people's lives from being taken over my these awful illnesses: I just wish someone did that for me.
