Creating a interactive learning environment

Schools in Santa Barbara and Goleta, mostly high schools haven't integrated hands on interactive learning plans. I believe that students deserve their education in a fun interactive learning environment. Such as going to Holocaust museums or other field trips, getting students involved with community events or programs, and internship opportunities. There is already a graduation requirement for students to get a minimum of 60 hours of community service. Why not make it mandatory for students to dive into extra activities outside of school. Such as biking, hiking, volunteering of course, swimming, art and crafts, and other activities that would teach and implement the go outside rule.
