OPPORTUNITIES FOR SENIOR CITIZEN STUDENTS TO GRADUATE FROM CUNY ARE BEING THREATENED!

CUNY RUINS THE EXPECTATIONS OF SENIOR CITIZEN WHO WANTS TO GET A COLLEGE DEGREE.

SENIOR CITIZENS:

• Senior citizens used to pay a flat fee of $80 to take classes. In 2013, CUNY changed this rule and raised the tuition for senior citizens.

• The cost of living is expensive for senior citizens on a fixed salary income.

• Senior citizens on a fixed income cannot afford a regular enrollment of a university education as other students.

CUNY INCREASES SENIOR CITIZENS’ TUITION:

• By raising the tuition for senior citizens CUNY is creating an economic barrier between senior citizens and their education,

• We deserve the respect and opportunity of pursuing studies in higher education at a limited cost as we had early in CUNY.

WHY ARE SENIOR CITIZEN STUDENTS BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY BY THE CUNY SYSTEM?

You have the power to create change.
