PETITION TO STOP THE RELOCATION PLANS TO MOVE WINTERGREEN INTERDISTRICT MAGNET SCHOOL

Purpose: On May 24, 2018 the parents of Wintergreen Interdistrict Magnet school were informed that the town of Hamden's board of education voted to "take back" the building on 670 Wintergreen Avenue Hamden that houses our school. The proposed change would be in effect as of the start of the 2019-2020 academic year.

The plan is relocate the school (LOCATION TBD) – so Hamden can use the school for their academic needs and redistricting issues as mandated by the State of Connecticut. This means uprooting and disrupting our children and WIMS community.
We the parents of Wintergreen wish to protest this decision and keep Wintergreen in its current location as it adds many resources to the Hamden community.

Please sign the petition and so we can avoid this proposal from happening.
