Demand that H&M clarify its sustainability claims.

Companies seem to think they can make half-baked sustainability claims to appeal to environmentally-conscious consumers. Specifically, H&M's Conscious collection has had its fair share of criticism because the company claims the collection is more sustainable than many believe it is. If H&M is genuinely serious about sustainability, it ought to release the following information:

  1. Through what means are H&M's Conscious collection materials being recycled?
  2. How are items in the Conscious collection being produced?
  3. What is the carbon footprint of items in the Conscious collection compared to those not in the Conscious collection?
  4. What are some milestones H&M hopes to reach in the next year to meet its sustainability goals?
