Stop mass balloon releases. Balloon litter kills wildlife and harms the environment.

The murder rate in Louisville is rising as are the memorials for the victims. Turn on the local news any day of the week and you will see videos of people releasing balloons at memorials for homicide victims. While we are all troubled by the violence in our city, we must be responsible at the same time.
Kentucky and bordering states are farming states and rely heavily on livestock. Grazing livestock can mistakenly ingest balloon litter and become extremely sick or even die. Balloon litter that isn't all the way deflated can become lodged in the throats and esophagus of many species of wildlife. Louisville, Kentucky had laws in place to stop mass balloon releases, I have not been able to confirm that they are still in place. Please, I need your help to stop balloon littering and save our innocent wildlife and their environment.
