Stop the Quarry Expantion

Unnecessary quarry expansion at 2298 US Hwy 12 & 18. Owner repeatedly applies and repeatedly fails to obtain the permits due to not being able to meet 6 guidelines to do so. One being no significant loss in the neighboring home values. He also has not and will not reclaim the current quarry although approved plans from the current quarry state he should have started almost 10 yrs ago. The quarry was once closed and stated to never open again but was curiously reopened after many people build new homes next to the closed quarry. Those land values have significantly dropped and are nearly unsellable.
Our goal is to hold our town board accountable for upholding the morals and ethics of our town that make us proud to live here. they are responsible for backing our communities interests and not that of out side interests. There are many other quarries open and able to supply gravel needs to the community.
