A teacher, in Leytonstone, Buxton School has to leave due to her Visa running out after 2 years. She is a wonderful teacher from New Zealand and shouldnt have to leave, for she loves her job, supports her students and approaches learning in a fun way.
This teacher among so many is having to leave her position in school due to immigration implications and visas. Ultimately this campaign is just as much for this fantastic teacher as it is for all the teachers around the UK that are in similar situations. Something needs to change. Our teachers are the basis of our education and so many are passionate and inspire students every day. Having teachers from all over the world is what makes us so diverse and children and students are able to learn about the different traditions and the world. The changes from teacher to teacher for younger children can be especially stressful and difficult. Teachers shouldnt have to give up their role due to an inability to secure another visa. It is simply put unfair. If we can get enough signatures, the goverment may review the situation.
