LEAVE THE OIL IN THE SOIL!!

The American Petroleum Institute (API) has launched a campaign presenting falsehoods about the costs of strong clean air standards.
Smog — otherwise known as ozone — is a dangerous pollutant, damaging human health and even causing premature deaths. Updating our smog limits to 60ppb (as recommended by leading health and medical organizations) would, in the year 2025, prevent up to 7,900 premature deaths, prevent up to 960,000 asthma attacks among children, and provide up to $38 billion in public health benefits.
But the American Petroleum Institute has launched a campaign presenting falsehoods about the costs of strong clean air standards, and ignoring the fact that we already have cost-effective solutions available.
API (American Petroleum Institute) should stop their campaign against much-needed, long overdue, cost-effective smog standards.
