Help stop the road in bafq

Bafq, Iran is a hotspot for two critically endangered species, the Iranian cheetah and the Persian leopard. A road is planned to be built cutting straight through the area, which will put the cats and other rare species in danger of getting hit by cars or poached by locals.
The road is being constructed to shorten the travel between two villages behind the bafq mountains to the main city. The currently used road is 78 km to the city, it is well developed and flat, avoiding most mountains and steep slopes. The new road will be 56 km, only creating a 22km difference. It will also go through steep mountain terrain, thus creating more traffic accidents than the current road and risking more lives. The road will do more harm than good.
