Remove the Beef from Atlanta Public Schools

The Atlanta Public School system needs to aggressively join the fight against climate change by removing the beef from the lunch line. Beef production is a leading cause of greenhouse gas emissions, water scarcity, deforestation and species extinction. In addition, studies have indicated that over consumption of red meat is a leading cause of the most common and severe health problems plaguing our nation including diabetes, heart disease and multiple forms of cancers. We are petitioning for the Nutrition Department to make the cost neutral substitution of beef for a more sustainable protein. Please stand with us in telling APS that we want to skip the beef for our health and the health of the planet.
