Fix Pakistan's Energy and Water Crises So Locals Can Stop Stealing Glaciers

Pakistan is in the middle of an energy crisis -- that's only going to get worse with the country's looming water crisis -- because the Pakistani government refuses to act.

Just to survive, locals in the city of Chitral are stealing, breaking, loading and selling melting glaciers to others desperate for electricity.

Glaciers are important in the environment, but they also play a critical role in human lives. Glaciers give us drinking water, they irrigate our crops and generate hydroelectric power, according to the National Snow & Ice Data Center

Glaciers need to stay put.

Sign and share this petition urging Pakistan to address the real energy and water crises, so desperate locals don't have to resort to stealing glaciers just to survive.
