Keep Our Children Excited About School! Reform The ICU Program

The ICU program requires students to miss classes such as band, chorus, and art to make up missed assignments. It is these programs that keep our children interested, motivated, and excited about being there. Furthermore, these classes are just as integral to their success as sciences and communication.

My band director once said that programs like the arts and sports are one of just a few things positive in a some children's lives. If those things are periodically taken away from students that are struggling academically, how much more will they loose the motivation to succeed?

I'm asking people to sign this petition to have that program reformed so that student's that need extra attention are given the opportunity to do that during planning periods or at home. Small things can greatly impact a life. Please help me to keep kids inspired by signing this petition.
