Petition Against the Establishment of a CVS Store at the location of Washington Street and Swanton Street, Winchester, MA. We the undersigned residents of Winchester, MA submit our names in OPPOSITION to the establishment of a CVS Store at the location of Washington Street and Swanton Street, Winchester, MA. Our concerns are for the profound impact on the surrounding neighborhood and the effects and burden placed upon the town residence as a whole. Our objections and
concerns for this project are noted below, but not solely limited to the following issues:
-Severe impact upon traffic flow
- Elevated concerns for safety
- Disruption of peaceful and quiet enjoyment of
our homes
- Effects on property values in the surrounding
area
- Added impact on the police department due to the
need for increased surveillance
- Expansion of large retail operation in a
neighborhood setting with an inordinate amount of parking and operational hours
-Access difficulties to the transfer station and during periods of school drop off and pick up
- Increase in accidents and crimes beyond the statistics already applicable to this area
The following names are respectfully submitted with regard
to this important matter and consideration is requested for town officials to
prevent this proposed high impact and unsuitable project for this area to move
forward
