Help Save the Murray River Turtles from Extinction

Turtles native to the Murray River in Australia are under threat, according to a report on abc.net.au, which has damaged the quality of the water in the Murray River.

Freshwater turtles help keep Murray River clean but are struggling to survive the challenges of climate change and salinity. Adding to these larger threats are feral foxes that are known to raid turtle nests, taking up to 90% of eggs.

Environmentalists say the general public can help save the turtles and the Murray River by protecting turtle nests.

Action is needed now! Will you join me in demanding the Federal Government launches a public awareness program to promote the protection of turtle nests along the Murray River to help save both the turtles and the river. Please sign and share the petition.
