Ban Single Use Plastic in Ontario

The Government of Ontario's Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks has recently released a discussion paper regarding the future of waste reduction in our province. One of the discussion questions invites opinions about a ban on single use plastic. The intention of this petition is to collect proof that people in Ontario are in support of this ban. Single use plastic is something that we have all become accustomed to, but it's unnecessary and damaging to our environment. So many green initiatives require significant lifestyle changes, which can be daunting for people. Banning single use plastic is not one of these issues. It's a simple change. Nobody will miss it. We can do better than the current lackadaisical approach.
