Americans for metric

We currently use the United states customary system of measurement derived from the imperial system of measurement. This is an issue in schools and abroad. The countries surrounding the United States as well as the other countries of the world use the metric system. Our students have to memorize the amount of feet in a mile, myself and many others still do not know the amount of feet in a mile. I do however know how many meters is in a kilometer, how many millimeters is in a meter and also how many mililiters is in a liter. It causes global confusion when dealing with conversions. I and many others would like to join the rest of the world and become metric system users as well. Our measurements will be much more accurate and the confusion it causes will eventually subside with a national change.
