Stop Deforestation!

Forests cover 31% of the entire Earth where many endangered species live there. 1.6 billion people rely on what the forest has like food, fresh water, clothing, medicine and shelter. 46-58 thousand square miles of forest are lost in 1 year. that is equal to 36 football fields every minute. Deforestation mostly happens in the tropical rain-forests because of its biodiversity. For example, 17% of the Amazon in the past 50 years has been destroyed. The world’s rainforests could disappear at this rate in deforestation. Trees are cut down for many reasons, but the most popular reason is for money or feeding families. Farmers cut down forests to make room for crops and for grazing livestock. People also cut down forests for urban sprawl (a.k.a building cities). You should really think about how much of the forest you are using therefore taking away.
