Don't Bar Student From Walking at Graduation Because She's Pregnant

Administrators at Heritage Academy are refusing to let honor roll student Maddi Runkles walk with the rest of her class at graduation because she's pregnant.

The conservative Christian school says that premarital sex is an honor code violation and that this is a suitable punishment, but she's already been punished with suspension and removal from student government. Isn't that enough discipline for a young woman who chose to embody her school's Christian values and affirm her own faith by deciding to keep her unplanned pregnancy?

Is this about an honor code violation, or not wanting to highlight the fact that a talented, smart, compassionate young Heritage student is pregnant?
